Default Dual tank question

My 81 supercab short box has two gas tanks. On Chev's they have a switch on the dash to go from one tank to another. On this truck does it draw from both tanks or is there suppose to be a switch as there seems to be no way of controlling which tank the engine pulls from????
Sorry for the stupid Q but new to restoring Ford........

yes as I recall there is a switch, not sure where it is mounted though, been a long time. it switches the fuel gauge to read the tank you are on. Last one I saw switched vertical

Thanks Whomrig, anyone have any specifics..... No switch I can see unless it is under the dash.

Most pictures are showing to the left of the steering column by the headlight switch. I can't remember where mine was. Memory isn't what it used to be and it's been a while. Lol.

Not sure about the early 80's models, but on later models it's on the heater/AC controls panel. The tank select looks identical to the fan control. If that's the case you wouldn't be the first person who couldn't find it.

Edit didn't see GhostriderIreply until after I posted the same thing.......
