Default dead cylinder

I have a 1990 ford f150 extended bed and my fisrt cylider i think is dead and i pulled the first spark plug wire when the truck was running and there was no change in the way the motor idled. i checked that first spark plug o make sure it was alright and it looked fine, this is killing my gas mileage and i have less power and alot of knocking. What should i do?

There is a possibility the spark plug wire is bad. You can test the wire with an ignition spark tester (looks like a spark plug with a ground clamp) or a volt meter. If you have adequate spark at the end of your wire then the plug is the problem, or you can switch one of your other wires and test for spark.

If the plug was not wet there wold be a chance that your injector is plugged if this seems like your problem unplug your injector could be corrosion if still no luck you maybe need a new injector.
