1986 302 original exhaust MTA tube
Have an origianl exhaust system for an 1986 302 EFI,the tube that goes from the exhaust pipe between the 2 cats to the MTA or air pump is rusted through, can I just plug the port at the exhaust pipe or do I need to replace it. Or, more to the point, is the tube providing some critical function? What if any would result if I deletdd it from the system?
