Lightbulb Classics in the winter.

I've got a 1985 and I got it running in the spring and it ran great and smooth. Then the winter came around and I ended up with a coolant leak. Does anyone else find that they run into a lot more problems in the cold weather and would it be worth it to pack it up for the winter once the cold comes around.

Just my experience. I had a radiator which only dribbled in the winter. I had a new radiator but kept putting it off because the leak was minor and stopped in the spring. The seals which are between the core and tank apparently harden and shrunk just enough to allow coolant out.Water pump leaks can be affected by temperature variation.

If the body of your 85 is in exceptional shape, I would park it for the winter just for a preservation measure.

I wouldn't say that winter produces more problems than summer.
