Carb rebuild time?

Carb rebuild time?
I have the 300 inline with single barrel carter on it and the center venturi while at idle is sprayin out more gas than a race horse can ****... The idle mixture screw also does nothing to adjust the fuel mixture. any ideas?

It's an 81 and to be honest i'm not entirely sure if it has the electronic feedback carb or not... i'm not very knowledgeable in this category i'm use to dirt bikes and bicycles not all this vacuum line and computer stuff... all i know is that it is a carter single barrel yfa... if theres something i need to look at to figure that out i'm more than willing

I'm in the middle of rebuilding the carb as we speak and for some reason the little bushing that holds in the bowl vent shaft seal won't fit snug back into the hole that it was in???
