Lookin for a Good soundin exhaust for a 82 Straight 6
I've been lookin around and I have found a few but not exactly what I'm lookin for. My staight 6 just isnt... throaty enough you know? I want it to be heard, but not wake the neighbors up loud.
Anyone have any sound bites or youtube vids of a good exhaust for my truck? Some inside info would be much appreciated
Btw, first truck of my own. She's a real sweet girl. I plan on doing some, but not a WHOLE lot of mods to her. Like to pull a little more power out of her, without killing my MPG too much.
So she's this years project. Last year was a motorcycle, this year, somethin bigger

just throw true duals on with some glass packs, my friends 81 sounds good until you hit about 5 grand then sounds like crap, but other than that i would go with glass packs. i dont know of anyone who makes a bolt on kit for the 6. you just have to take it up to a shop and get qoutes from several different shops in your area. but if you are willing to spend some money on a quality exhaust it is going to sound good either way.

Well for the whole exhaust system I'm willin to drop about 2-3 hundred in the next coming months. I'd love to put duals on her. Buddy of mine taught me a trick with the glass packs to break the glass inside for more airflow.

I have a 1989 F-150 with the 300. I put a 3inch pipe after the cats into a Flowmaster Super 10 single chamber with a 3inch tailpipe. I need to record my exhaust, its sick.
For those carbureted trucks, I love this sound:
