Default 86 F-150 4X4 Locking hub issue

I have noticed my locking hubs seem to be loose. The 6 hex bolts are tight but I can still move the locking hubs in and out a little. I just replaced the rotors, and wheel bearings and checked everything out. It looks like the o-rings are there. I bought this used, and they have been like this since then. I was just wondering what the possible causes could be. Also has anyone had this issue before, and what fixed it. Thank you.

Yes the snap ring is still there. I had a hell of a time getting it off and back on when I replaced the wheel bearings. lol I have been thinking of replacing the locking hubs, but I want to make sure that would fix my problem.

I saw the O-rings But I didn't think they would cause this issue, but who knows. I'll have to find them or replace my locking hubs. I just wanted to make sure it would fix my problem before I replaced them.

If I remember right you need just a hair or two thicker of one and it will seal it up perfectly. My dads had that same problem and mine does to. If you leave it like it is and let the warm grease fall on aluminum wheels it will eat the clear coat off an make them look like ****. My dad found that out the hard way
