Default 85 ford f150 dipstick

Hi new to the forum. im working on a 85 F150. I cant find the dipstick. It must be broken off. I ordered a repair manual but in the meantime I wanted to see where should it be so i can see what all I need to replace it.
thanks.

You would normaly find that on the drivers side, near the rear of the engine, behind the distributor.

you should be able to crawl up under the hood with a good light and see what you are dealing with.
Those 2 & 3 step kitchen step stools work fairly well.

The distributor & dipstick are on the LEFT side of the engine (on virtually all Ford RWD engines).

L&R (and all other directions) on vehicles always refer to the operator's perspective, from the driving position.
