Was a long cold day today.
I drove the truck to Jiffylube... I know, I know.. It was wet and cold and I don't have a covered space to work on the truck yet.....
It stalled 4 times on the way there...
After an oil change and injector cleaning session and a 15 min drive home she is much better. firing on all cylinders and idling well. Even starts when warm.
Looks like I have this sorted for now, but some serious work is needed. I still need to do a compression test/leak test as I really think cylinder 8 is not doing well and I am getting white smoke out of the drivers side tail pipe...
the project continues but she is running again The engine rebuild is scheduled for next summer when I have a shop to work in..

The 85's had a small fuel filter in line from the HP Fuel Pump to the Fuel Pressure Regulator. If you have one, it's been in there for 32 years. I took mine out to replace, but I stuck a brass "T" with a schrader valve in place of the filter to test fuel pressure.
It is a pain to work with that old blue fuel line.
