Default 85 f150 302 coolant struggle!

Hello. I am new to this forum. I love my ford. And when I got her she had no thermostat and the wrong belts ect. Took it in and had it looked at they put a new thermostat in new belts said the pump was good but it was running hot. Long story short I put a new radiator. No change. New fan clutch. No change. Now a new pump. No change. I found a word white substance on the inlet of the pump. Anyway. This truck has almost an entirely new cooling system. And still the gauge reads hot. No coolant loss and when I put the heater on the temp rises. Heater off still hot. Ac on still hot. But it never boils over, never has. A laser thermometer reads between 190 and 208 in the hottest areas. But the gauge is constantly up there. And the upper house with burn you at times to the touch. Honestly I'm stumped. I see no signs of a head gasket. I'm so hi king it's the gauge but it seems to be ok because at times it will drop down to m or a. And if I then use the heater up it goes again. I don't want to damage my truck but it's also my daily and have no choice but to drive it. I have read all the forums and any info I can find no one has these symtoms. My heater works just fine. Never looses heat. Please help!

Have any of you ever changed a coolant temp sensor?

Just so there isn't a mix-up, you need to change the sender - not the sensor.

The sender is on the driver's side of the intake 3/4 of the way to the front. 1 wire to it.
It just unscrews like a regular bolt. Some thread tape wouldn't hurt.
You'll have to drain some coolant first of course.

I guess I don't know the difference. All I see is the sensor. The plastic connection and then the wires disappear into a mess of wires. This truck had a swap some years ago. It was done well, but the wires are a bit confusing

Alright. Swapped the sender. And immediately with Ac and heat blazing it was dead center. But by the time o arrived home, maybe 1 mile. Right back to L 😔
