Keep in mind, while replacing the instrument cluster bulbs, it is a good idea to replace the headlamp switch if it has never been serviced. Over time, because it is a push/pull... as well as a rotary switch, becomes sloppy, loosing it's internal/integral ground. Continuity to the instrument cluster illumination as well as the HVAC control and radio illumination, all pass through the headlamp switch.
While You're at it, spend the extra 10 bucks and replace the High Beam Headlamp Dimmer Switch on the floorboard as it is subjected to all sorts of muck and mire. Dielectric Grease is recommended at the connections.

Also twist the headlight **** left and right. It should adjust the brightness. When you feel a weak click, it is all the way bright and the exterior cargo light should come on if you have an 85-96 truck.

Is your Dome light working?

Check your voltage @ Fuse #17, if it is much less than 12v with the dimmer turned to full brightness, the the dimmer is your problem.

You can apply a jumper from Fuse 18 to 17. This will apply a full 12v to your bulbs. If they go brighter than with the dimmer turned to full brightness, the the dimmer is your problem.

Also, check your ground wires, a poor ground adds resistance to the bulb circuit.

about how much were those bulbs the LED's? They really look good. It would be a nice upgrade for my son when he out and about at night. Thank you for posting that photo.

The bulbs were about $15 for 2. So I guess it was an expensive $45! Instead of making my own DIY, I found a video that someone already made! The interior is the same as mine so it counts! Make sure that if you have a 4x4 truck, the bulb and wiring to the 4x4 light stays as a part of the truck so be sure to spin that out of the cluster so you don't rip it out. Same as on the other side with the emissions light.
