36x14.5x15 tiires on 77 150
 

I have a 77 F150 with 400 ci and 4 speed transmission. Bought the truck with what I believe is a 4" lift. I bought 35x12.5x15 tires on 8 " rims for it. Truck is not on the road as I'm changing the cab. My question is that I've found a set of MT baja belted 36x14.5x15 and a set of 12" rims. Would they fit under the truck with that lift? Will the axles and bearings hold up?
I'm only running on the road and back roads with some light hauling. Anyone have pictures of this combination, please forward along. Any information would be great.

I know a guy who runs 40s on a Jeep with Dana 30 front axle and Dana 35 rear axle, with lockers, he wheels some very rugged stuff and has only broke 1 axle, so I'm gonna say if you have a 5X5.5 lug pattern you should be okay however he only has a 4 cylinder so the horsepower simply isn't there. You have more weight and substantially more HP under the hood. Whether you break something is going to depend on how hard you are on it and how good you can work the gas pedal. If you come down hard off an obstacle and are still on the gas, then you might just snap something as soon as the tire gains abrupt traction. Your driving skill will determine what things you break.

Thats alot of tire for a half ton. More then likely youll break a u joint over breaking an axle or anything in the rear ends. 14.5 wide tires are alot of surface area, so its going to be hard on your steering components, and there really going to stick out.
