The wrong carb is not an upgrade. That makes as much sense as putting in a bigger windshield.

While I agree, what the 1BBL flowing? 125CFM?? Not sure what everyone else's truck revs to but mine is out of breath at 3K, Not that it needs more, but feels like it could use more. 100's of peeps have slapped that intake and carb combo with dual exhaust and made really nice running trucks. Why not....

You can't "feel" what a vehicle needs, or what would make it run better. It takes lots of engineering. Ford did that engineering, and built it right. That's why it's still running. Mess with it at your own risk.

100's of people have slapped magnets onto their fuel lines, hair dryers into their intakes, and mason jars with wires in their air filters. Why not?

Have you checked for codes, your computer my know something.
If you are running rich, maybe your O2 sensor has gone **** up...
