1986 F150 dual tanks
I had downloaded a picture but lost it of the 6 fuel lines that hook up to the round black fuel switchover thing that sits below the frame rail
Anyone here have it for me. I need to know which are the return lines and feed lines to this "black box".
There is 4 lines on one side and two on the other.

I found this online. It looks like what you need.

The return lines are the smaller diameter tubes. It is very important that you do not mix up which tube goes to which tank.

This is excellent information. I have a 1986 F-150 with two gas tanks and my front one does not work. I have not yet been able to work on it or determine what the problem is, and frankly, fixing it may be well beyond my abilities. However, this thread and the information that you all share here is exactly why I joined this forum. Many thanks to all.

Fixed my dual tank problem. Front fuel pump was shot (pulled tank to verify) Replaced black box. Rear pump ok. All works well. For system to work properly, especially the black switchover box shown above, BOTH fuel pumps must be working. Fuel pressure is what makes it switch properly.

It's called a "dual-function reservoir", and the whole system is explained in the captions of this photo album:
