I am in the process of replacing all my 84 f-150 5.0 brakes but I can't get the front manual locking hubs off. Several videos only show a lock ring just inside the outer rim of the hub but I can't locate one. I took the split ring off at the end the axle but can't get any further. I'll try to post a pic of my progress. If anyone has any pointers or can explain the process I would greatly appreciate it!

In the hub there should be a snap ring followed by a lock nut that can only be taken off by a hub lock nut socket get them at any auto parts store then two or three washers then another lock nut same size

I have the 4 pin lock nut wrench, but I don't think I can get it in there until I remove that outer piece. It's driving me crazy because every video I find shows it sliding right out after taking a lock ring out but mine doesn't seem to have the lock ring.

I do see a snap ring inside but don't know how to get to it.

Take a lock pick tool set and go around the edges got to be a lock ring and pop it out or a small screwdriver will work also
