1984 150 Manual Shifter
I have a 1984 F-150 with a manual shift. My son ran my other truck into a ditch while on a iced up road. Not supposed to be in my truck on iced up road. Long story. Involves a young driver that knows more than God. It has been a little hard once in a while getting it to come out of 1st gear when setting still. I had got him pulled out and taking it out of 1st. gear and something snapped and the gear shift went limp and it stuck in 1st gear. The shifter is not connected to the transmission any longer. Where can I get a diagram of this transmission.
Any idea on what it could be?

A sheared roll pin in the shift tower
Need to know what trans to elaborate further
'84 f150 should have a NP435 4 speed with a cast iron case (tower type)
Or
A Toploader OD car 4 speed in 4x2 trucks
Both shift differently
Tower on 435 trans will be difficult to remove when in any gear
I'd get the tower off and inspect the shift fork roll pins and the roll pins in the rails (shafts) themselves
