Hey guys I have a 1983 F150 with a 300. Transmission is a New Processing 435 and I recently purchased a clutch fork from LMC part# 43-6428. There seems to be a problem with this fork and my original clutch fork. Pictures provided. Now is this the correct fork? There is another fork I could purchase for the years 84-96. The one I purchased was for 80-82 and year 83 is not on the list. Should I buy the other clutch fork?


Any thoughts and advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I would get a technician from LMC on the phone and explain your troubles. Possibly send them your photos. Not only will they lead you to the right part, but fix the catalog for future Ford Truck Enthusiasts.

Hi guys, I’ve got a broken clutch fork spring.. one of the forks snapped off when my throw out bearing failed. I need some help finding a replacement. I’ve checked LMCs website. They don’t have one by the looks of their online catalog. I’ve searched the internet for a replacement to no avail. I’ve called and talked to several transmission shops in my area, they keep passing me off to other companies. If any of you can lend an assist to locate one I’d appreciate it!
