1982 F150 6 cylinder
Been looking for a project truck.
A guy I know has a 1982 Ford F-150 with straight 6. He's had it for over 20 years. Runs great not too much rust, few holes to fix, needs a paint job, tailgate, upholstery, and ball joints. I can get it for $700. Would I be stupid not to buy it? Thanks for your opinion |
Sure why not! It's worth more than that for scrap. Besides, it's a classic now.

Can't pass up a deal like that, especially if it runs and drives. I hit the jackpot and got my 86 f150 with 54k miles for $300

2 running trucks for $1000. Sounds like a great deal. Build up that 302 and drop it in the 82. Is the 82 a 4x4?

The Big Six is a serious workhorse with some upgrade mods available also. Best friggin' work engine Ford ever built ! My 84 currently has a rebuilt 302 with approx. 1,000 miles on it. 2 months ago, I finally found a 300 I6 worth rebuilding and it's in the garage right now about half finished. I'd rather have the I6 over the 302 that "I" rebuilt  The I6 community is huge.
