Default 1980 F150 Custom Audio Help

Hi guys! I have a 1980 F150 Custom and have been having issues with the speakers not responding to volume depending on the outside temperature. When it's hot out the speakers work great. However when it is even the slightest bit cold, both speakers will turn on but remain at very little to no volume. If I open the door and mess with the wiring I can sometimes get the speakers to work. I'm assuming it's a wiring issue and was wondering if anyone could help me with a solution whether that be rewiring everything or something else. Thank you

If it is happening with both speakers I would say the issue is with the head unit and not the speakers or wiring.

What type of radio is in it? Need more details on that. The stock **** radios seem to always have this issue. I just put new speakers on mine last year and they still do this sometimes but mine doesn't seem to have anything to do with the heat.

Sounds like the head unit is going out
