Simple answer is yes. That said, EGR (Exhaust Gas Reticulation) is used to help warm the fuel air mixture, so yes it is needed. Intakes that do not have EGR valves will work just fine on this engine, so yes it is not needed. There is a plate you can get to do an EGR delete on the current manifold to run without the EGR system, so again the answer is yes it can be deleted. So the choice is your to keep the EGR system or not, it will run with or without it.

Hopes this helps

My question is....why are you looking to replace the intake? Is there damage? A stock 351 Windsor can run without EGR. I would think twice about a 750 CFM carb on a stock engine. You would be dumping fuel into stock engine internals that are NOT set up to process it, and as far as the choke goes, you can run stock or manual and it shouldn't make any difference. Intake changes as well as carb changes will not change anything unless what they are bolted to can accept those changes (camshaft, valve train, timing chain/gears, distributor curve, etc.)
