Question 1971 Camper Special ID Tag

Hey all!

Truck is a 1971 F250 Camper Special. The door plate that is supposed to have the assembly info ie: GVW, color, etc is blank. It does have the VIN filled out and I did decipher it already.
My question is, I found a small metal tag hanging by a string on the firewall that has some codes on it. It is also painted the same color as the body. Wondering if anybody knows where this small tag is supposed to be mounted, and if you could decipher the letters?

2-30 SX2 X DDT AC
CAMPER 44149
Y

Obviously, its a camper special, so that's the "CAMPER" part.
Also, "44149" matches to the Assembly number on the VIN, so I got that part figured out.
"AC" Hmm, the truck has air conditioning, so is this all that it means?

What does the remaining part of this tag mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Another question while it is still fresh in my mind...
The cab interior has "Explorer" badging on the glove box door, but the back of the box sides have chrome "Custom" emblems on each side. Seems like Explorer and Custom emblems contradict each other?
Any ideas? I'm guessing the box isn't original or the emblems were added later. That seems a lot easier than swapping an Explorer interior into a Custom truck!

I respect your wanting to know everything about your 40 year old truck, I'm older than most members, and exceed most in experience, good luck with your questions. I have a 1973 F250 Camper special myself, only has 100k miles. It has Custom on its sides also, am agreeing, the glove box is questionable.

So what engine and trans do you have? I'm a 360/390, and a C-6 trans.

Hey Bill!
Thanks for your reply. I haven't actually purchased the pickup yet. It belongs to a friend, and its been sitting in his pole shed a few years now. I am thinking of buying it off him for a project. Its all complete, has straight sheetmetal, and engine is greasy, but runs. It was a 360, but was converted to a 390 using the crank, rods, and pistons. We are also pretty sure it is a C6 transmission. It even has a big old camper hanging off the back, but that isn't included if I buy it.
I'm kinda excited to get it and start working. I know my way around Chevs and GMCs, and even fixed an old Dodge in high school, but this old Ford is too good to pass up. My only problem: missing title. So I will have some redtape to go through at the DMV believe me! Oh well!

Chevy mechanics working on a Ford the first time, I guarentee you, will install the head gaskets wrong. Ford head gaskets are not punched out (water passage) to fit either way. The gasket is stamped FRONT with the water passage at the rear of the engine. Chevy gaskets are stamped out for installation either way, no front or back, no top or bottom. I pass this info onto you so a costly mistake won't be made during overhaul.
