Software update not working
Does anyone know how to get my truck out of battery saver mode? I've tried driving 30 mile trip and no luck. I'm trying to get the latest update software to download but little success. Ford says my battery is fine. But software says it won't download if battery is low.
There is no solution and the dealer won't help as Ford does not pay them to perform module updates. There is a thread on here with almost 5,200 regarding issues with OTA updates. If you provide me with your VIN, I can check you recent OTA history. The update you need for full-screen capability is known to fail a lot on our trucks. There is nothing you can do to trigger an OTA being sent to you. None of those youtube videos or tricks you find online do anything. Calling Ford won't help either, so don't bother. Your truck being a 2022 is not plagued by the issue that early 2021 trucks faced where they were stuck not getting updates. You are just at the mercy of Ford's garbage OTA process to randomly send you the update and hope it goes through when they do send it.
I'm in a similar boat. I just purchased a 2021 F-150 Limited 4x4 and cannot get it to update. Crucially, I'm trying to get BlueCruise to appear, because I know I have the hardware (CoPilot 2.0 Active on the window sticker, additional sensors/cameras in the cabin).
My truck says it's on 4.0.23291, which I know is not current. My VIN is 1FTFW1E83MFA49516.

all right so you want to turn the ignition on
don't start the truck
and then what you'll do is you'll Flash the headlights five times
and then you'll tap the brake three times
and then you'll see the battery icon down here it'll flash three times
so go one two three four five
one two three
there you have it that's BMS reset
