Default No Heat

Any one else having problems with not having heat in the cabin? I got my 21 XLT last week and tried to use the heat for the first time this weekend and couldn't get any heat. The blower and everything else worked fine, no problems with the AC. Truck is with the dealer now waiting for direction from Ford on how to fix. Just curious if this is a common issue or not.

This is he first I have heard of a heat issue on the '21s, but the mechanics of how these trucks get heat isn't significantly different from previous vehicles, so I suspect it will just be a standard issue and the dealer will correct it.

Yea, I am thinking the same that it will be a standard issue. Loving everything else so far. Thanks!

If you think of it, stop back when you find out what it is. While it hasn't been a common issue, we are still early into this generation, especially with delivery delays, and who knows... May help someone down the road.

Try pressing the "foot/vent/defrost" hard button and THEN on the touchscreen enable the vents you want. If they are all off you get nothing, no matter how much you crank up the fan. Stupid design to have a two-step process. The hard button should cycle through the modes. Better yet they could add a right hand screen card for this, so we can see them if desired.

I did try the different vents though that button and could only get cool air coming out.

Dealer just messaged me that a heater hose was kinked and that was causing the problem.

Just got the service ticket and it said “reposition coolant heater hose”. Got the truck back and it’s working great now. Hopefully this helps if anyone else runs into the same problem.
