I don’t know about the rest of you but I think the nab system in my platinum is the worst I have ever seen. I thought the Microsoft system in my 2013 raptor was bad, but this crap is even worse

I star locations and try to name them and they disappear

my radio does not lower when the nab is giving directions

when you put your route in it shows the entire route and never focus in let’s say within a 1/4 mile so you can see turn by turn.

tech support from the nav company called “HERE” is worthless. I really mean worthless

my maps on my phone is a million times better. This is the second truck I bought with ford nab. First one is a 2013 and this one is a 2021 platinum. I will never buy another ford again

IF ANYONE WANTS TO BUY A NEW FORD 2021 platinum loaded except sun roof I will sell this one. Has a 2” level in the front, screen protector etc. About 2100 miles

 

So, to get to the bottom of your experience, you want to sell your truck because the nav sucks? This is the equivalent of divorcing your wife, assuming you have one, because she didn't shave her legs that day. Something that is easily remedied. You can use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and use the better nav and still enjoy the truck. I'm trying to figure out why you're buying vehicles for stellar manufacturer nav systems? This post is almost comical.

 

Have you tried doing a factory reset on the system? Mine had similar issues but a reset resolved all the problems. I also believe it has been noted somewhere that you need to setup profiles with both keys or it will cause similar issues I could be wrong on that but I know my starred items do not show up under my wife's profile and vice versa.

What kind of price are we talking for this horribly defective truck with the absolutely unusable nab system? Obviously retail price is out of the question. You might be able to sell it for parts.

How much for the screen protector?

 

Hmm... if only you had the option to use carplay or android auto.

 

Which also can be an exercise in frustration but im sure that Ford will someday remember that the truck has OTA and fix some of the issues with navigation, sync 4, etc etc. I certainly wouldn't sell a truck over it.

 

Fixed all my Nav woes with a Garmin Portable.

 

Except there is a way to get a condensed focused turn by turn. Perhaps try learning how the truck works. Mine still won't tie my boots, so I'm trading it for a Kia Optima
