Default Do I have a problem?

New here and learning.
I recently purchased my F150. I hooked up to my trailer and started having problems that I had now experienced with my old truck or generator.
I plugged my trailer 110 volt into my F150 generator at the tailgate site. The cord got very hot. So hot it burned my hand when I unplugged it. Never this problem with my generator or shore power.
Started to leave and my trailer brakes were locked. I disconnected the 12 volt connection and the trailer brakes released. Plugged back in and they locked again. I cut the brakes wire and they released. Drove to the campground. Once there I reconnected the brake wire and drove home without any problems.
Got home and the trailer running lights were still on when my truck light were off. Disconnected the 12 volt connection and the trailer running lights went off. Reconnectedd and the trailer lights were on while the truck lights were still off. I turned off my lane correction in order to get better mileage. With lane correction turned on the truck sways so much it starts the trailer swaying. Turned of the sway correction. 65mph without any problems and lane correction off. 45-50 mph and swaying with the lane correction on.
I know I coverec many different topics. I appreciate anyone with similar experience commenting on my problems.

A case of new truck and older trailer/ wiring.
A compatibility issue to be worked out.
The hot temps was not the 110 but 12-volt circuit issue.
Brake operation takes a lot of current that over time will heat the lead and the Brake Solenoids.
Can even be a fire hazard if a fuse does not blow from it.
I don't know what you need to do to fix it, but someone that has the knowledge/experience with the issue.
Some incompatibility between LED systems and Halogen lightning has been reported before.
Good luck.

The OP said it was a problem when plugging into the 110v outlet

In another thread you say this is a 2022. Is it a 7.3 or 2.4kw set up?

Electrical wiring gets hot anytime current runs through it. If it's that hot, the capacity of the wire is too low for the current draw being pulled through it. Replace the extension with one with a higher capacity.

You may have 2 different problems, most likely related to improper grounding.

110volt outlet your cord may be miss wired or bad cord end or undersized wire in the cord. Or if you have the 7.2KW 120/240 4 wire Power boost outlet and plugged into that with wrong wiring all holy havoc can happen and it is all at YOUR EXPENSE.

12 volt plug verify correct wiring of the 7 pin plug. There are different color codes.

45 years in the electrical trade and have seen more than one incident of oh my buddy knows how to do it. IF you don't have the knowledge to do it correctly find someone who does.
