Default Break light on my dash....When in park...

So Friday night I was coming home from my boys tee ball game and we had to stop at the store to pick up a couple of things. I stopped in the parking space and placed the truck in park. As soon as it was in park the brake light came on. I sat in the truck with the kids while my wife went shopping and turned the truck off and on but it would not go away. When my wife came back I put the truck in drive and it would not move until I stepped on the gas. Then it felt like the brakes let go. I drove it home and had no issues when I put the truck in park at home. I drove the truck on a trip and had no issues at all every time I put it in park. Anyone have any idea of what could have happened? My truck is going in for some recalls soon so I am going to have them take a look and see if any codes are present.

My truck doesn't have auto park. I thought maybe I had bumped the parking brake but that was fine...

If it detects that the brakes were not applied when shifting into Park, it will auto apply the parking brake

Hmmm...... My kids were being crazy and I may not have been at a complete stop before I put it in park.

The parking brake will also be automatically applied if parked on an incline.

This was a flat parking lot. I was a little confused and concerned. But I have not seen any adverse effects. But the truck has to go in to get the air dam repaired so I will confirm with them what happened.
