Default 501A 2025 vs 502A 2023

Looking at some Lariat Crew cab trucks. Trying to figure out the real benefit as the 2025 501A seems pretty good overall

2023 502A
- Power running boards, (which I don't care about)
- Wireless charging (nice but not make or break)
- Sync 4

2025 501A
- Fixed running boards
- Sync4 EVR

BOTH on the window stickers have
- BO Audio system
- LED lights
-12 in productivity screen
- 360 camera
- Lane/Collision avoidance features

What am I missing about the 501A, seems like they upgraded what the 501A offers in the Lariat in 2025, seems like 501A 2025 is equivalent nearly to 2023 502A??

I happen to have a 2023 with the 502 package, and a 2025 with just the 501 package.

The steering wheel in the 23 is powered tilt etc
The steering wheel in the 25 is not
The 23 has leather seats
The 25 has Active material seats. (I am not sure what this is, but both the front seats have wear marks on the sides where they squish down. It had the marks at 300 miles, The dealer is trying to get them replaced under warranty).

There are some other small difference, I am just not sure what they are off the top of my head.

The Sync version on the 25 is a little different. The Ford Pass app when remote started through the App allows you to set the Temp, Seats heat or cool, steering wheel heat on or off, plus a few small things that are not on the 23 (that I have found).

Great info, beside the seat issue (that sounds annoying) which do you like better?

The 23 has the max tow package, the 25 does not. Also the 23 has locking rear end, the 25 doesn't. My wife likes to drive the 23 with the tow mirrors.

My self either one works for me. They both have the 3.5 EB so plenty of power. The 25 has some new features that just plain are stupid. The heated seats have an Auto setting that comes on every time you use them. So if it is really cold when you turn them on sometimes they are on the lowest setting because I keep the temp in the truck set to 70. I have to hit the button for them to come on the highest setting.

Every time you get in and start the truck the seatbelt screen pops up, you can wait for it to shut off on its own or hit OK. If you pick up a passenger the seat belt screen pops up again, when you drop off the passenger it pops up again, if you get out to do something it pops up again.

My 25 has blue cruise, it is a neat toy, but I don't see me ever paying for it. The 23 has a version of blue cruise that helps keep the truck in the lane etc but not hands free, so pretty much useless.

Check the owner's manual on the heated seat settings. It's pretty typical for the setting to be called up from the personalized memory settings, if you have them.

I have looked in the settings to find a way to shut it off. The only place that has seat setting is the Remote start. Unless I'm just stupid and missed it (which according to my kids and grandkids might be true).

If I think of it I will look again, it doesn't bug me enough yet.

What I'm saying is turn the heated seat on high, then save your personslized memory settings again. It maybe saves the heated seats like the hvac settings and radio station. I haven't looked in the manual specifically for the heated seat. It's certainly worth trying.

The wife's 2014 Charger turns the driver heated seat and steering wheel on when you start the car, based on the outside temperature display. They come on if it's 40° or below.

Just reset my profile this morning, went out this afternoon, and still the same thing. It comes on low in AUTO. When I hit the button it jumps to high Man.

...and now we know. It was worth a shot and didn't cost much to find out.
