87-92 octane flex tune sent, start with injector timing changes to support the extra power, leave all limiters in place, remove WOT and VCT delays....Everything you need for 500hp on 92 is in that tune, and all limiters are in place, most of the power comes from the flat boost curve, and the speed from removed torque limits and shifting to match the whole thing....Its revision 30 or so and was my daily driver 87-92 octane perf tow tune.

Oh, and if you clone it, do a KAM reset if filling up with different octane fuel, as the shifting adapts to octane / power and changing the octane in the tank changes the power level, throwing off the adaptation. going from 87 octane up is fine, coming back down the shifting gets rough as it's adapted to the higher torque requirements.

Thanks! I should be going a little more in depth with the software this weekend. I have a Microsoft surface pro x tablet so I have to keep my cables connected for linking so it’s a little more difficult. Something about the ARM processor…? I was researching the active shutters and great info. I’m in GA / FL area so not much need for blocking the Intercooler. I was recent on “basic” info and just switched to “advanced” and I wasn’t even seeing half the parameters.

Take the tune supplied by isthatahemi, load it and start doing a "compare" versus the OEM tune. It will help you see/understand all of the changes made. It's something I would do when first doing GM MAF tuning changes. Back then HPT had a sizeable tune repository that people had uploaded their tunes to, so it was easy to look at changes. I read a while back that the repository was not what it used to be. I haven't made any tune changes to my Grand Sport Vette for at least 8 years so I haven't been on the HPT forum.

Can you run HPTuners on an ARM based surface at all? I picked up a Surface Go 2 recently for this purpose and its been working well.

Mine can. I had to download a few drivers for an OBD Links product and it allows me to connect to the MPVI 3 when using the usb c connection on the front. I also have to use a USB to UBB C adapter for the tablet.

it’s crazy how you take a few weeks to do more research and analyzing then return to old threads and see how far off your thinking was. No offense taken from your comment and the hard truth is what people need (although it’s frowned upon in society now!). I’m advancing in the tuning process and chasing limits that are closing the throttle plate and limiting spark now (much better direction). Been experimenting trying to figure out how to program a transmission “characteristic” since my truck only has 0 & 2. I’m also starting to get into the fuel aspects with the help of a fellow member.

I think you are way off base with much of what you are posting on this topic, having been involved in developing tunes myself and assisting with a couple tuning companies.....no offense intended

I typed a much longer reply and deleted it , as I don't want to get into it, ,as I find most of your replies and input excellent on this forum.
