Default Which Tuner and Tune Should I Get?

I've got a 2017 SCREW 4WD with the 3.5TT and 10 speed, used mostly for daily driving although I do tow a couple of times a month. I want to get a little more horsepower out of it, but not push the limits. I also don't want to have one of those devices hooked up all of the time to the dash. I would just like to download the tune and go. Having said that what devices does everyone recommend as well? I have heard good things about 5*, Unleashed and Brew City Boost, but can't decide which one to go with. Thanks.

As another "cheesehead" and first time buyer of a tuner/tune, I decided to go with BCB. An hour drive from me and a history of local Saab turbo tuning being main deciders. Been very happy with their service, have purchased and had them install my suspension system. Will do more with them in the future. Casey is the tuner and a very easy person to work with as is Kelly.
It's the only tuner/tune I have owned or used so no comparison to others. Most of my decision centered on locale, history of working with gasoline vs diesel and active participation in performance and racing. KM

I've used both MPT and 5 star and I like 5 star and their support, I think the guys name is Josh at 5 star and he is a damn good tuner for the three five EB.

Thanks for the replies. I had heard great things about BCB and if I were located closer to them, I probably would have went with them. I ended up going with 5* because they have a sale on until the end of the month and Jason was very helpful on the phone.

I just installed 5 Star's 93 performance/tow tune on my 2.7 Eco and it's a totally different animal now. Even with 33" tires and 3.15 rear my truck is quick from a dead stop. Don't need as much gas pedal to get going and is easier option than re-gearing. Definitely happy with my purchase.

I don't have much availability of 93 where I live, so I had to go with their 91 performance/tow tune and also got their 91 performance tune. Anxious to see how it goes.

It's gonna go for sure. Lots of low end grunt.

5Star's perf/tow is great and their trans tuning is on point! The perf tune is a totally different beast. Currently running a 93 perf tune on my 3.5 and holy sh*t! You might find the trans tune to be a little aggressive on the perf only tune, just tell them you want the perf/tow trans tuning copied to your perf only tune. Perfect combo for daily driving.

Another for 5 Star, been running them on two different trucks and about 6 years total now and they have phenomenal Tunes and customer service.
In the past 6 years I've tried most of the reputable tuning companies also and still prefer 5 Star.
And yes, ask for Josh (Joshua) over there, he's the ecoboost wizard.

5* buys every type of vehicle they write tunes for. I’m not sure too many other companies invest the time, effort, and money to do that.
