In my case, losing traction in 4A is a deliberate choice even in the rain, I have to stall up the converter from a stop to make it happen. If I just go WOT from a stop in 4A, I have no traction issues.

Driver demand tables would probably be the better choice, but you could also use the max torque 1 and max torque OP 1 tables to limit torque in specific RPM ranges. Playing with the pedal characteristics tables could also help by making the throttle less sensitive in the range you're having issues with.
295/65/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They are about 40k miles old and getting a bit hard. I have the pedal characteristics set to almost stock. It might just be my tires. No issues on dry asphalt. Like you, I have to get aggressive to make the wheels spin, but they will break loose in first and second.

Using the max torque 1 and max torque OP 1 tables to limit torque in just 1st and 2nd gear seems like it would be an easy fix.

I’ll take a look. We should be getting more rain soon, so I can do some testing on a back road.

If it were me I’d only want to tame it in those situations. I’d use rain/snow mode and you can change the pedal response in just that mode.

I always forget to switch modes...

Perfect solution, though.

Kenny, this is great information in this thread. I'm assuming you've continued to make improvements since last year. Any chance you'd share your latest tune in this thread? I'm really enjoying comparing yours to my stock read to see your improvements.

I’ve made a few changes, but not many. Mostly tweaking of the shift tables. It’s still a WIP as I’m insanely picky. 😂

RL has had me bogged down and really limiting my time using HPT, unfortunately.

Wow! It looks like my last saved revision is from 10/2024.

Awesome! I found someone on HPTuners forums that translated the latest OEM Ford shift schedules to the '18-'20 and so I did that yesterday and I really like the improvements. Looking forward to checking yours out, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I downloaded that too. I plan on testing it out. The 14th gen shift tables are much nicer, but I’ll still want to tweak it. One of the biggest improvements for around town driving was changing the torque converter lock up tables.
