Supercharged 5.0 exhaust discussion

Yeah, I've thought about this more and I think we are all overusing the word drone, or at least I am. I think what I have is just noise. I agree with you that true droning is a resonance at a certain rpm, and almost by definition has to be at one or two specific rpm. I am experiencing low noise at almost any speed cruising under load. So I guess what I am saying is this it's too loud for me.

Sheesh, that's 56" of Magnaflow... I think that would absorb some noise.

I absolutely loved mine when daily driving, but could not stand it when towing.
I only mention this so people can account for how much they tow while choosing an exhaust.
I had to get rid of mine as I (and wife) could not deal with the noise while towing anymore.

The 19054 does not drone, but put a load behind it (7000 LB) travel trailer and it can be very overwhelming. Climbing long grades specifically.

For me, it's just a bit much being on the highway, even not towing anything. Going up a hill at 2000 rpm for more than a few minutes that low frequency is annoying. I would imagine towing is much worse. I don't know if the blower affects it or not.
Driving around town it's great, makes the drive tons more fun.
10 or 15 years ago I might have dealt with the highway noise or even liked it, but these days I'm hauling kids and non-car-loving adults around that don't have any reason to tolerate it.

I like it a lot, nice and subtle when towing and cruising, but it growls when you open it up.
