Stock 2018 5.0 and 10-speed at the drag strip
Anyone seen this yet? Owner claims it's a stock 2018 with a 5.0 and 10-speed, regular cab, short bed. 13.46 @ 103.50 mph--not too shabby!
Seems several on here say they don't feel as fast as the previous motor and 6-speed, but if this is any indicator, I'd say it's promising!
I've been waiting to drive this combo, and hopefully early next year, to get a super crew 4x4 with the new Coyote and 10-speed combo.

Crazy how fast these are. After driving the 2012 5.0 I just got and test driving s new 17 eco, I felt the 5.0 would benefit a lot more from the 10 speed than the eco. The 5.0 likes to spin, which the 10 speed will help keep the rpm up high where it us happy. The eco, like in my wife's Ex Sport, has tons of torque in the middle and it almost seems like the 10 speed has it reving too high, like a 2 stroke when you don't shift soon enough. The eco was always in a sweet spot with the 6 speed, so the 10 speed can't help that much for WOT passes. The Coyote drops off after the shift with the 6 speed so I can see the 10 speed making a big improvement by keeping ghe rpms ip. Not to mention it must sound bad ***! I never thought I would replace my manual trans in the Mustang, but I might have to replace my burned up Blown stroker Fox body with a 2018 10 speec auto. Paired with a Roush blower and 700hp will be crazy!

I can see where the A10 greatly benefits the '18 5.0 with the new higher compression ratio.
Peak hp numbers do not tell the whole story as to how hard the vehicle will accelerate.
I saw the torque curve of a '18 Coyote Mustang and it is wide and super flat.
That's why the A10 Mustangs Gt can run low 12's stock with a 3.15 rear gear on stock tires.
Gotta love wide, flat torque curves
