I think most of the guys in this thread are supercharger guys.

I went from a non catted mak y pipe to kooks 17/8 long tubes, non catted, and it picked up 30rwhp across the board. The truck was basically tuned and then I decided to add the long tubes. After adding them and adapting them to the existing exhaust, it gained 30rwhp....of course the tune had to be adjusted a little.

edit: I remembered that the mak h pipe actually had been converted to a true x pipe and then into a true full 3" dual exhaust before adding the long tubes. So it's more accurate to say that the truck picked up 30rwhp across the board after replacing a true non-catted 3" x pipe with the kooks 17/8 long tubes.

another edit: my truck is a ym '13

I don't have any vids but I can record some if you'd like.

I just installed full 3" catback with 18" Magnaflow 12249 muffler and a cheap generic resonator last week. Sound is freaking deep and awesome but too loud for my taste.
I have a 24" Magnaflow 12279 and Vibrant resonator coming in the mail tomorrow. I should have it installed this weekend. Hopefully it quiets it down a bit.

But, before that I just had the Kooks with stock exhaust and it honestly sounded stock at driving speeds.

Here's the kit I used for the piping.

1 Vibrant ultra quiet took my truck from 11/10ths Nascar cold start stupid insane like I just jumped into an erupting volcano loud to merely very loud. That little 10" stainless steel box of magic did wonders, and my truck is almost livable...so I'm gonna add one more on the axle kick up section of pipe which should make it quieter then it was before I removed the cats.

I have the ultra quiet and a 24in magna flow on my 18 currently. Its very mild with stock cats. I would love some vids or your setup with the Kooks.

FYI the vibrant ultra quiet made a big difference for me, even with stock cats, etc.

Good to know. I've seen tons of good reviews so figured I'd jump onboard. I'll take some vids of the current setup and new setup.

Here's a vid of the previous setup. Sound quality is crap but it gives an idea.
This was just the kooks headers, 3" exhaust with resonator and magnaflow 12249 muffler.

Ended up adding the vibrant ultra quiet resonator and larger 24" muffler. Sounds very close to stock now with the signature deep magnaflow sound above 2k rpms.
It's perfect to me. No one would ever guess I had full headers/exhaust.
