Default Ssi vs 5 star tuning

Got a 13 fx4 5.0 have a 5 star tune (87 perf/tow) the shifting is way better than stock but still seems conservative on the power side. Does anyone have experience with SSI tuning on a 5.0l? They claim they are substantially better than 5 star.

I wouldn't expect much from an 87 tune from anyone.

Always been happy with my SSI tunes..my old 5.4 and Eco responded great.
Never had a 5.0 but should respond very well.

Shawn Ellis is a worthless liar and thief. I ordered and paid $515.00 + $15.00 shipping for an SCT X4 programmer with 3 custom tunes on Monday 5/14/18. I received the X4 on Friday 5/19/18. I filled out the custom tune form on Monday 5/21/18 and sometime later that day I received an e mail stating he received the order and I should receive an e mail or phone call within 48 hours.

Since I had not received anything by late afternoon on Thursday 5/24/18, I called Shawn and he said he was in the middle of working on a tune but since mine was an easy 5.4 tune, he would send it out that night or the next morning. Nothing happened on Friday as he stated so I sent another email yesterday, 5/26/18.

Still nothing in my in box this morning, Sunday 5/27/18, so I have come to the realization that he doesn't plan to send me anything in the future except maybe more BS and lies if he would even answer the phone. I plan to file fraud charges with his local PD on Tuesday 5/29/18 as I don't have any other recourse left.

I guess I should be glad the worthless SOB at least sent me a NIB X4 even though it doesn't do me any good with out the tunes installed.

I agree you have a reason to be upset but not to the point of what your doing. It is a holiday weekend. Be patient and I'm sure you "may" get your tunes. After he see's your last posts you may not. If I was him I'd be telling you to send back the device and go elsewhere and give you a full refund. After calling him a liar/thief you think he wants you as a customer? I wouldn't.

When I talked to him on the phone last Thursday afternoon, He stated he would send me what I asked and paid for that night of Friday morning and then he basically blew me off. If he had said I have a few to do before you and it would be next week before I do yours, I wouldn't have liked it but I would have waited, but he didn't say that. He said that night or Friday morning. That makes him a lying POS.

He is good at blowing smoke up your *** when he brags how great he is verses the competition but after he has your money, then the BS starts. I should have done more research and just gone ahead and used 5* but he talked such a good game, I believed him. Now all I want is to cost him as much business as I can.
