Well.. Not going to make it tonight.
Let me know next time you all are wanting to do a meet up at the track. I'm down.

I'm not making it either, I just got my truck back running about an hour ago, and it sounds like this was a bad day to do it....with TX2k19 and all that jazz.

In the near future we should get a group track day organized for those who can make it to SAR.

I'm interested. I assume you're not talking about a track rental, just a day we all meet up? I didn't make it there last night either, however I'm again planning to go 3/22.

Ya, just a day to meet up. 3/22 might work if I can get the day off.

Me too. If it isn't raining, I plan to go. The weather (rain) last I saw was supposed to come in a little later in the evening Friday.

What time y'all heading over there? I'm gonna ask for that day off, and if the weather holds solid I'll try and be there.
For test n tunes, do the typical NHRA rules apply? I have a helmet, but since my truck is now below 11.49 in the 1/4th, the rules say I need a roll bar, driveline safety loop, and an SFI approved jacket. I can probably get a jacket by Friday, but the 6 point roll bar and safety loop aint gonna happen lol.

I'm not sure what time the gates open, I'll check though.

As far as the safety requirements for going faster than 11.49......we talked about that recently, and I thought what you're referring to is for cars built before 2008. 2008 and later cars can go all the way down to a 10.00, if I'm not mistaken, without the roll bar and loop and stuff (because of the newer safety features built into later model cars)....but don't quote me on that. You might post the question over at ACM's facebook page.

Here's the link to the article I referenced about the roll bar rules
https://www.dragzine.com/news/nhra-a...reet-vehicles/

also, I haven't found a link yet, but the safety loop is for cars with slicks, isn't it? I don't think DOT legal drag tires rate a loop.
