The VAS bars don't require you to even remove that bolt to install, which is nice.

That is what they did on my 2016 when I had the rear springs de-arched. Use a Sawzall right behind the head of the bolt.

And for the life of me I can’t figure out why Stifflers won’t just amend their instructions and tell people their bars do in fact work on 15^ trucks. There’s at least 10-15 of us I’ve seen personally running them. What would be so hard about telling people you have to drill one extra hole from the other kits?
Did you mean you wouldn't use the CalTracs again or the long bars?

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. I was looking at the Stifflers and they looked pretty good. I've put them on my wish list for my truck.

Question... When installing a lowering kit and using a flip kit which means the mounting normally beneath the axle for traction bars cannot be used. Therefore, which traction bar can be used then? Anyone have experience with installed lowering kit using a flip kit and then installing traction bars. It appears that Vas Traction Bars might be the favorite to install..

I have caltracks on my 2010 with a flip kit in the rear. They sell a lower bracket for flip kits

so caltracks traction bar lower bracket will work to replace flip kit bracket used on other lowering kit like belltechs? Do you have a photo of your setup with caltracks installed? Would like to see caltracks lower bracket, thanks...

CalTracs make a model for trucks with "Flip Kits"

FYI I have mine installed now. I'm still on the fence on whether I would recommend them to others. Stay tuned.

BTW this wouldn't have been an issue with the Stifflers because the way they attach to the frame, oh well live and learn.

Now a question for Unbroken if he's watching this thread. Since I'm lowering the tank would it be a good time to install a DW400 fuel pump like he has?

Mike
best time to install a fuel pump is when you have to drop the tank anyway. It’s Murphy’s law that whenever the tank needs to come down it’s right after fill up. That’s when my pump died on my last foxbody .. literally 10 mins after a fill up
