Omega Tuned 5.0 MBRP exhauast review with sound clips

Made a little video showing the exhaust set up. Check it out!

Now tell everyone how much your bottom end low rpm torque vanished. 4" pipes? Really? Your truck no doubt sounds great, a pinto would probably pull it off the line.

That omega tune is not doing you any favors either.

Considering the exhaust is still flowing through the manifolds and about 24" of 2.5" Y-pipe, I think his low end grunt is probably fine. For those of us making a ton of power, these large single exhausts are always tempting....but its gonna be hard to part with my 3" Corsa because is sounds so damn good and doesn't drone.

Nice post OP, and good video review.

Low end is about the same. I didn’t notice any gains or losses from it. Factory manifolds and cats keep plenty of back pressure. I have a flo pro twister resonator on the way to kill the drone. We will see how it sounds after that. What’s wrong with having an omega tune? I love it

Backpressure isn't what's needed, that's a myth, it's velocity, and I would guess that 4" has zero negative impact, as it's so far after the "scavenging portion" of the exhaust system.

And I have no idea why RNL is bashing the Omega tune, they are dyno proven, feel great, and on a bone stock truck (my 2016) cut over half a second from my 1/4 mile, and likely significantly more than that on my 2018, just don't have a timeslip yet.

people just like to hate. I did add a Flo Pro Twister Resonator last weekend tocmy set up. Sounds even better. Killed the drone. Super happy with this set up now. I’m going to make a short vid with some new clips when i get a chance.

sounds a lot like my MBRP side exit. Luckily, I have no drone issues.

If anything is killing your low end, it's those 34" tires. I switched from the factory 32" Wranglers to a 34" Nitto AT. They are about 15lbs heavier per corner, combined with the loss of gearing, it has slowed my acceleration a little bit. But that's the price of having bigger heavier tires.

Can you provide where you found the information to back this statement?
That is completely backwards, especially when referring to the 5.0 and Omega tune.

He has no idea what he's talking about, the omega tune and 5.0 are how the truck should have came from the factory. It really woke my 18' up on e85.
