Went to the drag strip over the weekend. Changed the truck over the winter with new wheels/tires and a tune from Unleashed. It is a 92 octane performance tune, I have not datalogged or sent back for revisions yet, so it is not at its max potential. I went over a scale on the way to the track, I weigh 240lbs, so if the truck was 100% empty it would be under 5,000lbs.

My best time last summer:

Year: 2016
Model: XLT
Engine: 2.7 Ecoboost
Cab: Supercrew
Bed Length: 5.5’
2WD/4WD: 4WD
Gears: 3.55 E-Locker
Transmission: 6 speed
Weight: Unknown
Mods: Stock
1/4 time: 14.662
MPH: 91.89

Updated time:

Year: 2016
Model: XLT
Engine: 2.7 Ecoboost
Cab: Supercrew
Bed Length: 5.5’
2WD/4WD: 4WD
Gears: 3.55 E-Locker
Transmission: 6 speed
Weight: 5250lbs with driver
Mods: 92 octane performance tune
1/4 time: 13.693
MPH: 96.72

Nice ET but it seems your MPH should have picked up more?

Nah, that's about right.

We do have a customer right now that is running 13.0's @ 103 with nothing but a 93 tune on his 2.7 though.

Is it a full size SuperCrew? What’s his wheel and tire setup? I’m excited to get my tune a few revisions. I know the first tune that gets sent out is a bit on the reserved side and has more potential. I’d love to get a pair of track dedicated wheels/tires as well.

Here is my current setup.

2017 RCSB 5.0 2wd 3.31 gears with E-locker

Omega tune only on street tires, I’ve been a best of 13.12@105.41 in good DA. Crappy 2.0 60 ft due to the tires, I have drag radials and traction bars ordered. I believe I can easily break into 12.7 territory with the addition of both.

I would like to see what it would run with the stock tires and rims with the tune?

Only a 5 mph gain with a ET that's a second faster?

That's entirely possible, probably picked up a whole lot through the 60ft and to the 1/8th. The bad aero of the truck will keep overall trap speeds down, especially on a torque motor like the 2.7 which doesn't have much on the top end.

Most of the torque management happens at low speeds.
