Now that sounds like a pretty good idea. I can buy a ngauge from him and probably pay a little more for it, but perhaps it will incentivize him to be a little more accessible...as if the $3k I spent there recently isn't enough lol.

You and Ecks should line your trucks up. It would be a great race. Where in Texas are you?

Houston

If I where you, I would get him to go on a ride with you and set your shifting the way you want...

99.999999% of Dyno tunes are finished with you and the tuner going for a ride and setting the way you want: unless he has a tried and true transmission tune that 99% of his customer are good with.

I have to give him credit. He has offered exactly that, but didn't respond when I told him we were going to the track on 3/22. I'm not knocking him, they're just busy, which I think is a good thing. If he were always available at the drop of the hat...that would be worrisome. Thanks again for your input.

schedule the time, private road - track - whereever.

Dont wait, get it done. You will be happier and he will be glad to be done without (that’s a good thing)

I did pay him $650 for a completed tune, and in reality it's still not completely finished, so I have perhaps a claim that's worth bothering him for. I just don't want to be impatient and ruin what's been a good relationship to date.

That’s why’s it’s important to get it finished for him and you.

Never forget your the customer and you paid him.

He is not your friend

This really just need a logging device, as this would have been taken care of if you had a logs of the runs from the other day. It sounds like the engine tune is dialed in, you just need some shift point alterations. Should be simple enough with a good log. The nGauge is a good data logging device, and TX-Ripper just posted one for sale for $350...get it, go back to the track (or private road), and record a couple logs and your tuner will make the adjustments.

I recorded logs from all three of my runs the other night with my GTX, and sent them off to my tuner for alterations to the shift points.

the nguage would work for him, but his x4 can log more pids and dmr’s all things being equal.

the x4 drawbacks are the limited quantity of logs without a laptop.
