As for tunes check out "5star tuning" if you want a warranty, and "gearhead tuning" if you want a tune that can be run on 87-93 auto octane tune.

Also check out "Palm Beach Dyno", one of the best coyote tuners in the country is making some killer Ecoboost tunes.
that fin pack looks solid, but these price tags are just eeeesh

May least 4 times a year Whipple dealers have a 15% off sale making it one of the cheapest kits available

5star has an auto octane tune as well... just need to ask them... it's very good

it’s only because it’s a direct fitment and price point (at least 4 times a year it can be had for 15% off from multiple vendors) I’ve had the full race and it wasn’t worth the trouble.

I’m sure the mishimoto or Wagner are just as good if not better.

When I upgrade my wifes expedition I will do a direct fitment intercooler and auto octane tune from gearhead.
do you still stand by this statement? whipple definitely looks sturdier than the rest (levels, etc) because it's got actual end tanks and not just sheet metal welded on, but the price is a bit heavy.

I'm reading this two years later and it's still relevant, unfortunately. I installed FR's ProStock 3" catted and it's an extremely tight fit touching the corner of the transmission pan and the connection right after the Y-pipe on the passenger side doesn't seal. I'm gonna have to get it welded. I just installed FR's v2 intercooler kit with no issues other than soft CELs for the active grille shutters that I have to figure out. Oh, even though it seals, the right side of FR's throttle body spacer doesn't sit flush...kinda bugs me.
