The mishimoto is a direct replacement and has better specs than the whipple so I opted with that.

So no lift needed? Do you need to jack up the front? Ramps?

It all depends on the quality of the core mishimoto used. If it's good it may be better. If it's not a good core, it could be worse even though it's more volume.

My truck has a 6.5" lift so I just crawled up under it with no issues. Stock height yes you may need to jack it up.

I've done a few WOT pulls. With this current texas weather of heat index above 105 if cruising temps after 30 min are 125F, as soon as I go WOT they drop down to 105-110 at the end of a pull. With my stock intercooler they would drop to 115 and increase to 130-135ish at the end of the pull.

Didn't mean worse vs stock. Worse vs the Whipple intercooler. Either way sounds like it works fine.

You guys probably see me pushing the whipple intercooler quite often.

it’s only because it’s a direct fitment and price point (at least 4 times a year it can be had for 15% off from multiple vendors) I’ve had the full race and it wasn’t worth the trouble.

I’m sure the mishimoto or Wagner are just as good if not better.

When I upgrade my wifes expedition I will do a direct fitment intercooler and auto octane tune from gearhead.

I'm not very happy with my FullRace Products. My catch can causes a CEL which you have to disable the crankcase vent sensor and my downpipes do not seal correctly on the passenger side turbo. Contacted them after many re-configurations and they said it may be warped. I get more oil on my intercooler than on my catch can.

They have gone down hill in the last couple years and their customer service sucks.

Even Ford stopped using them as an r&d partner.

I have. A number of folks have had issues with the Gen 2 downpipes sealing and clearing the transmission it seems and not a word.
