Down here in Houston with occasional negative DA and consistently good track prep they run 10’s all day long without even trying. Just because you saw some run 11’s doesn’t make it the cars fault. Could be the air...could just be a crappy driver. There’s more to racing than putting the lever in D and mashing the gas.

You don't have to tell me, I raced a turbo hayabusa that broke into the 8s when I was younger and WASN'T stretched.

Yea, I'm laughing.....at how awesome that would be. I crunched the numbers 3 different ways and all said the same thing: 125-127 mph in the quarter. That's bottom 11's/high 10's if you know anything about racing.

Think about this....
hellcat challenger is 4450 lb. f-150 4x4 rcsb is 4520 lb.
Hellcat is 707 hp, whipple f-150 is 750.
Hellcat puts about 630/590 to the wheels, whipple f-150 puts about 650/580 to the wheels.
They look pretty evenly matched to me, except the f-150 has 4 wheels pulling.

That would be pretty awesome. I had no idea those superchargers gave them that much hp. When I used to race and guys put superchargers on, I remember something like a 25%-30% hp increase.

The Coyote 5.0L out performs the 6.2L Hellcat, due to DOHCs, and 4 valves/cylinder. The 6.2L Hellcat is still pushrods, and 2 valves/cylinder, just like the GM V-8s. DOHCs, and 4 valves/cylinder simply breathes better!

Thanks for the heads up, I've started looking into that as well. Did you install it yourself or did you take it to a shop? On snow's website I see they have several versions of the stage 3. Did you get the one with the steel braided lines? Are you happy with the stage 3 and if you could do it again would you go stage 4?

I installed it myself, its tough. It takes patience and time to fit everything correctly. I bought a mustang kit because that best suited the 2.7l f150. I'm very happy with the stage 3. Has so many different ways to program it through the menu.

Not completely sure what to make from this thread after reading about 5 pages worth...

My observation to the OP is every time you bolt something onto this beast you add weight. And in the end, it's pounds / horsepower which makes you faster. You can either lose pounds or increase horsepower. It's long been understood that it's much less expensive and much easier to remove weight.

So lose the bling. Buy the lightest wheels you can find. Remove the back seat. Remove the carpet. Get an air chisel and remove every inch of sound insulation. Yank the door liners. Ditch the wife, the kids, the dog, the bedliner, the headliner, the tailgate, the spare, the A/C, the stereo and the speakers.

Boost + water/alcohol injection goes a long way in improving power/weight ratios. Does he want a track truck, or a daily driver that's stupid-fun to play with in the quarter?
