Default MPT W/ 35” tire and 331 rear end

About to pull the trigger on a 4” lift and I’m trying to decide if I can run 35” tires with 331 rear end gear set up. Will be installing the SCT tuner with MPT tunes. I really don’t wanna go down to a 34” tire. Anyone have any info on a set up like this ?thanks in advance

With no lift and running 31.9" tires (275/55/20) I felt it necessary to go to 4.10's. I have a 13 5.0. I don't know your setup. Just my little bit of insight

That is exactly what I'm running.

I've been running an MPT 93 race tune daily for a couple years now. Couldn't be happier except when I fill up with E85 lol. Just a little more kick from the butt dyno on alcohol.

I’ve been checking out your reply’s and truck for a while now and figured we’d say “ what’s up” pretty soon. I like your truck BTW

Your tires are 34” or 35”?

Mine also wears 35” and has the 3.31 rear. I’ve been running the MPT 91perf/Tow tune for a while. Been thinking of trying another tuner lately but haven’t yet.

How’s it run with 35” concerned about shift points but guess I can get that adjusted with the tune.

If you run their prx tune, you’ll likely never want to use a different tune. Even with the perf/Tow tune running it wants to spin tires in the first two gears of you put your right foot into it.

You can usually get it with the stock shift points instead if you want.

Highly recommend 5 star, I use to run MPT prx. 5 Star has really stepped up their game in the past year or two.

MMWEST I would high recommend you upgrade your front and rear differential gears from the 3:31 to at least 4:10. It makes a huge difference in how the truck will feel and accelerate. Pluss it will improve your gas mileage too. I am on a 6 inch lift with 35x12.5x20 and I am running 4:56 and the truck is a beast thru the first 3 gears. if I had it to do over I would have went with 4:10 due to the fact that I will going forced induction here in the spring.
