So I'm right there with you. That's why I asked about the 305/50/17. That would be about perfect. I current run a 275/50/17 and they are a tad small. I might go with 325/45/17 this spring. A little taller and a little wider.

ok, if they're a 30" tire the difference between a 28" and 3.73 vs that basically 30" tire and 4.10 isn't very much. It's like 1 mph in 1st 2 in 2nd and about 3 in 3rd. 4th is irrelevant because you're not going that fast lol.

I did some calculating in first gear, cause that's where all the action is

4.10's with the new tires in first gear at 35mph turns about 6702 rpm (figured with a 30" tall tire. With a 29.5" tall tire it's a little over 6800)

3.73's with the old tires in first gear at 35mph is 6533 rpm (28" tall tire)

If it has enough power to turn 120mph in the 1/4, that's still only 6282 in 4th gear, so there's plenty of room on the big end for the 4.10 gears

Not a massive difference, but hopefully enough to net an over all improvement without throwing the transmission shift pattern into a funk

oh and it will shift into 4th

I know but it won't shift out of 4th, that's what i meant with "doesn't matter because you aren't going that fast" That fast being over 130 mph.

Are you really only turning 67-6800 rpms on that thing? That's crazy low for a coyote to me. Not at least like 7k?

His truck is a 2013, that’s prior to all coyotes getting the Boss rods and valve train, so it’s probably a safer bet to keep it 7k or lower. That said his 4.10 gears a crying for more rpm

What is the bottom end differences between the 11-14 mustang gt coyote and the 11-14 truck coyote?

We have more than a few s197 mustangs turning 7500-8k. Some for a LOOOONG time.
