Default Looking for a good tune for 3.5L ecoboost

Im looking for a good all around tune for my 2016 3.5L Ecoboost. Id ideally like to stay with 87 octane if possible, any recommendations?

I just ordered the GTX Tuner & Monitor from SCT, check out the link below. Lots of monitoring options and base tunes including 87octane. Should have it in a few days, I'll update this thread when I have more info.

Looks like you can pick up 55HP and 103TQ with the 93 octane tune..

I have a 2016 SCREW 3.5 with 355 Gears

I purchased 5star tunes using an SCT unit from Stage3Motorsports for my 2012 SCREW 3.5leco recently.
87 performance/tow tune
93 performance/tow tune
93 performance tune

I didn't notice much a performance/power gain with the 87 octane tune. The throttle lag and shift down lag were decreased, but nothing impressive otherwise.

The 93 performance/tow tune was a different story. Same lag decreases as the 87 octane tune, and the transmission doesn't race to get into overdrive as fast as possible. If you're only going 40mph it stays in 3rd so you have power when you step on the throttle. Power increase is definitely noticeable. I'm running E-load range (HEAVY!) 34.5" tall nitto tires with the 3.73 rear end and it's nothing but a fight for traction if your foot is heavy into the gas. It has even barked the tires at 60+mph shifting into 3rd. My gas mileage has also started to increase from just running 87 octane I had been before adding the tuner.

I haven't even tried out the 93 performance tune yet. I imagine that will produce more power.

Please, for the love of God, don't run any thing anyone labels an "87 performance tune". It should be an economy tune for 87. Performance and 87 should NEVER be uttered, especially on a forced induction vehicle. Advertising it as such is just insanity!

I LOVE my MPT tunes. I run their PRX with Trans tune and it has made a world of difference. I could not be happier. There customer service is great as well. For example, I purchased my tunes 4 months ago but I sent them an email three days ago asking if they had made any power gains or improvements to their tunes. I got a response in less than 24 hours and in the response he enumerated everything that had changed. On top to that they looked up my tunes via my email and sent me the updated version of my PRX tune all in a single email. Great company!

5star buys all the trucks to develop the tunes on that’s why I always choose them. A lot of these companies will throw something together and call it a tune without ever owning a truck
