Default Locking in my whipple/performance 5.0 order. Opinions?

Opinions please.

2016 5.0
goal: as much low to mid tq/hp as possible, but reliably, without e85, and not doing mods that inefficiently increase numbers. Mostly street/DD use, no racing.

1. Whipple kit stage 2 w/ 3.625 pulley, voltage booster
3. Dual fan kit
4. 132mm Eliptical throttle body. This does not seem to affect power production much. Will I notice muchndiference in drivability, throttle/response?
5. Whipple tune. Not planning on E85). (Does this do anything for the transmission tune or should I just go with a 5 star tune for the whole tune, engine and transmission?)
6. Am I leaving much low to midrange torque/power on the table by skipping headers and catless Y? This would require a custom tune correct?
7. Billet oil pump gears and new oil pump (I see the Melling pump being recommended, yes?) How much would I cost to have someone else tank care if the oil pump install?
8. I also see recommedation for a new crank gear sprocket and damper. Yes?
9. Skip CAI. It seems the stock airbox is plenty and already considered a CAI so replacing that is debatable.

What year model and what’s your goal?

If you have to order now, order the kit that includes the whipple tune. Add the larger throttle body and the dual fan kits.

order the 3.625 pulley if you can only get 91 octane
order the 3.500 pulley if you have 93 octane available.

If you can wait a couple months the gen 4 blower will be available more then likely the standard blower (in which case you would go up a pulley size from what I just stated.

Should have been

order the 3.625 pulley if you can only get 91 octane
order the 3.500 pulley if you have 93 octane available.

yes, more efficient blower. Makes 15 more Hp at the same boost as the gen 3.

Gen 3 guys can send there blowers in and get them upgraded/rebuilt for a fee.

makes 1 extra pound of boost (moves more air) at the same pulley size.

I'm ready to buy. If I pulley down to 3.5, would the stage 2 Bosch injector be up to the task/duty cycle?
What about the other questions? Thoughts?

Yep, they work great.

@engineermike had very good luck with that exact setup and was the reason I got my whipple.

the whipple tune and those injectors handles the 3.500 just fine on that year model.
