And at the end of the day you are left with a $100,000 Jeep.

There is no way in hell that I would pay $100,000 for a Jeep and I like Jeeps. They just are not worth that.

Fair enough. It is easy to say that though when you aren't in the market. Kinda like I wouldn't ever pay a 1/2M for a Cessna Caravan.......But this thread is about building a faster truck, not buying a Trackhawk anyhow!
Are you putting together an 11 sec truck?

I guess we'll see. It's a 2018 5.0 with long tube headers, exhaust, a tune, and already bought the Whipple, just waiting for it to be released.

Truth is, Chrysler (and the brands and ownership associated with them) was always the innovator. The leader. The first to do things. From AM/FM radio in a car, to the "big rig" look for production pickup trucks, to mass producing American V10 engines, to a factory car that runs 9s. They lead Ford and GM along.

Who makes a factory 4x4 with removable top and doors? Only FCA. Who makes a car that runs 9s with a factory warranty for under 100k? Only FCA. Who makes a family grocery getter with your choices of a 392 Hemi or a blown 6.2 Hemi? Only FCA. Who makes the full size truck with the most DYNO PROVEN torque available in the world? Only FCA.

So to answer your question.. yes, everybody gives a damn about FCA whether they like it or not because FCA sets the bar.
Actually Ford surpassed 700 hp by a mile years ago with the supersnake GT500. So Yes, Yawn.. That was 2008?

That's a cherry picked Shelby product, not an OEM.
The aftermarket changes to take the GT500 to Super Snake status include a long list of Racing parts, as well as proprietary Shelby bits to build a unique-looking, fully warranted alternative to the 600-bhp , albeit with some extra weight, a back seat and a live rear axle. If you're not averse to risk-taking, you can go with an even more powerful non-Ford-specified blower with no warranty that will push the Super Snake's 5.4-liter V-8 to 725-plus bhp.

Not even remotely the same, also, not an SUV. Oh, and about a second slower in the 1/4, with a hero driver, on a good day, with the right conditions. The Trackhawk could beat that from the infield lol.

Im not comparing the SS to the Jeep. Hello. Its an obvious comparison to the hellcat. And like I said the SS been making over 700 hp since 08. 11 years ago. You could have bought em from a Ford dealer. No matter how you try to twist it around its a Ford product that makes more power then just recently from Chrysler.

Yup, it sure is. But then I would not pay $10k for a Chrysler product. Too many issues. The last one I had will remain the last one (and dont come with 'its a Jeep not a Chrysler', Chrysler owns Jeep so Jeep is a subset of Chrysler, same with Ram...and Fiat owns Chrysler so they're all Fiats...)

Yup, it's fast but a fast turd is still a turd.

I've got enough power for mid 10's. Just need to get my converter installed and hit the track.

I'm a big fan of the Hellcat/Demon/Trackhawk though. If I had the money I would daily drive a Trackhawk without hesitation. I've ridden in a couple of 800ish RWHP Hellcat. With some radials they launch halfway decent and they are monsters from a roll.
