I would believe that. I was referring to the 2015-2017’s

With the 10r80 its down low once, and has a 4.71? Gear ratio helping it. In 2wd it lights the tires up till 3rd. In 4wd its out of first pretty quick then its between 6800-7500 the rest of the way. Driving around town i dont notice anything lost, but the 19 manifold was out of air at 6400, this thing just keeps going. I pulled out my old school gtech and am going to play around, the notes i have on it from years ago say it was within a couple tenths and repeatable if it was a clean launch.

My experience was a little different, I noticed my 2018 5.0 was flat by 6800 or so, My 2016 was solid to 6500, so I'm not sure what was going on with your truck. That said, the MGIM pulls better 5500 and up, and around 7K on a 3rd gen, it's prolly 30-40 hp higher if I had to guess.

Im so close to just just clicking on “buy now” on a ported 18gt manifold for my 16 5.0.

Have been reading and not too much info on that IM for the 15-17s.

I have an afe intake, omega tune and run nothing but e85. What gains are people seeing on the gen 2 motor?

Also, i need lockouts correct?

Read all my posts, it's a tradeoff on the second gens, and it kills torque on the low end. Throttle response on the low end as well if you leave the IMRC system disconnected.

If you want speed, get some new gears. 3.31's and the MGIM are a big mismatch, bad launch, and noticeable drop-off after the shift.. Now, 3.73's and the MGIM would prolly rip pretty good. All my best times were on the stock MGIM, OZ tuned NA and Nitrous.

I've read this whole thread and this is what I'm thinking for an 18+ (correct me if I'm wrong). Going with a mustang intake, oz tune (or another reputable tuner), intake and 3:73's on a 2wd it should rip really good if you can keep the tires from spinning. Is there any real advantage to spend the extra 300 for porting or is that a no brainier as well?

This past week I got to ride in an oz tuned 2018 crew with 3:31 gears and it ran darn good, it launched great in 4wd, 2wd it spins a lot especially with the stock tires.

Working on my interior now but this upgrade in some form will be next. Currently on in Panama City Florida and they have 1 gas station that has E85 so I've got my first taste of that. Truck seems smoother and also to have a little more power even though I'm stock with just an exhaust from the collector back. Obviously no Dyno to know for sure.

That should be an awesome combo.

Most dyno reports seem to suggest it works.

I had a 2018 OZ Tuned SCREW 3.73's, with a S&B CAI and the stock intake mani, it launched okay......Okay being that it would get beat by my bone stock 2020 3.5EB 3.55s no question. Depends what matters to you, but the 3.73's work A LOT better, I drove both a 3.31 and 3.55 truck and each increment is a big difference in feel and launch, with 4WD

Exactly what I needed to hear. My long term goal is to have a strong, respectable, reliable daily driver that is fun to drive.

That is what I am in search of " Respectable, Reliable Daily Driver that is fun to drive and I find a lot of great info here. As I been researching before I buy, I want you all help, assistance and opinions. I have a 2015 F150 5.0 with 3.55 gears. These is what is currently in my shopping list. I'm looking at around $1400-$1500
1. 2018 GT Stock Intake with IMRC Locked - Modify and drill for OEM MAP sensor /
made me decide on the 2018 GT Intake.
2. S&B Cold Air Intake
3. SCT BDX Tuner
4. MPT 3 Custom Tunes / 87 performance / 93 performance-Tow / E85 Performance
5. Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow with Resonator delete for some decent sound.
I won't be taking it to the track every weekend but I am hoping mid 13's.
What do you all think.. ?
