Injector Question
 

I have a 2000 Model F150 with the 5.4. Stock in injectors are about 19lb, correct?

I'm looking to mod the engine a little in the future. Probably more aggressive cams, stall accordingly, maybe mill the heads for a slight compression bump and then the bolt on's; headers, CAI, etc..
Based on the injector calculator at witchhunter.com, for a close to 300hp build, 24lb would almost be too small based on the 80% duty cycle. Im thinking I would need at least need a 35lb.

Anyone know the best place to purchase a set of injectors for the 5.4 2v without spending $500?

Are the current stock Coyote injectors compatible? They are 32lb, and should be found cheap probably anywhere.

You could look at the pictures. Injector designs are common.

You're not going to buy parts before actually starting are you? The first thing you probably want to do is to learn how to tune the engine's control system. The computer. Tune it for maximum power then see where the weaknesses are. Your list of mods is the old school old engine tuning list.

The OEM Ford orange / yellow top injectors are usually 19# and from what I've seen are good for upwards of 325-350 HP at the crank. Se we typically still run factory injectors on full bolt on and/ or upgraded camshaft type of applications that are still staying naturally aspirated. Then we would switch to an upgraded injector on supercharged / turbocharged applications since the stock injectors will not cut it at that level. We can get most any of the aftermarket injectors available on the market today including Ford Racind and Injector dynamics which are two of the most common. Looking at Ford Racing's offerings for example it looks like the next step up from factory would be their 24# upgraded injectors.
