The roush is 2.3 liters and requires you to cut a boss off the block and possibly also the timing cover. The "canned" whipple tune is far better as well. The roush kit with roush "warranty" tune makes some pretty disappointing numbers.

Yeah I thought you bought it used. I was wondering what I can expect the used market to be fetching since I'd rather buy used as well.
Your a lucky dog getting a used one too.. I've been looking and haven't found anything..

What size injectors are you going to be running?
Doesn't whipple send these kits out with 47# injectors and a tune?

This kit isn't a stock kit, it has the upgraded throttle body, 1000cc injectors and a killer chiller and custom tune. Depends on the seller and kit. I'd said it would be fair to buy one between 5-6k used.

I had a friend get a smoking deal on a roush for his 14 gt mistang for 3500 and he bought a vmp housing for it, so shop around watch Facebook groups.

I'll post pictures when I get it in.

I bought my whipple here on the forum for a smoking deal a few years back. For once I actually caught a good deal before it was gone.

Nice! That sure is a lot of bonus goodies!

Is the killer chiller running off the factory compressor or did he get the electric ac compressor?

ID1000 injectors?
What do you have to do to the fuel system to get this kit running with parts you got?

Either way sounds like you will have the build to beat around here!

If there's a good condition whipple kit used with nothing missing for $5g's, I will be all over it like white on rice!
If you or anybody else sees a used one around I'd happy to buy it. Just putting that out there..
Or if there is a group buy..

I feel that $7500-$9000 is a little steep for a blower kit. If it was $6-$6500 brand new I'd prob be far more inclined to order one up..

Since adding a Whipple will void the warranty, I'm going to wait until mine is out of warranty but I am definitely getting one. I was thinking of a procharger but read of problems with mount flexing and damaging belts.

You can get a warranty from whipple for a reasonable price. That said, reliability of 2015+ 5.0 has been awesome even under extreme power increases. Mustangs are making 800 or so rwhp before anything in the engine lets go.

What is your specific concern with the warranty?

Can you still get an engine/drivetrain warranty from Whipple? I thought that they used to offer one but some time along the way they decided to stop offering it.

I don't know for sure. It was an option when I got mine but I didn't get it. As of today, no regrets (knocking on wood).

Do you remember a rough idea of the cost?
